The Law of Attraction Doesn’t Work…….If You Don’t Believe In It!

I have a confession to make – I don’t believe in the Law of Attraction. I blog about it. I like the IDEA of it. I’ve watched ‘The Secret’ many times. Hell, I’ve even written an e-book about how the sub-conscious works (and a damn fine fine one at that – sign up if you haven’t already).

But the truth is I don’t believe in it. I thought I did, but it turns out that it isn’t true. Now don’t be alarmed – I didn’t say that I didn’t believe in it 100%. I do believe in it somewhat. But the strength of my belief is lower than I thought it to be. I would say that the strength of my belief in it is around 56%, just over the halfway mark – a little low don’t you think??

Now I know that you are probably wondering what I am getting at here. Here goes…..(drumroll) Read More »

Five Ways in Which NLP Can Benefit Me.

Filed in: NLP by mindprogram on 08-31-10

In the time of the wireless communication and technology developing at an exceedingly unprecedented pace, is Neuro Linguistic Programming still a relevant discipline? It is still worthwhile to pursue?

The answer, fortunately, is still yes. NLP is extremely important to human life because  no  matter how fast technology develops, the tendencies and capacities of humans are still the same.

Our technology might have changed, but that has not changed the way we perceive reality, the world and those around us. It has not changed how we make strategies to attain our goals. Read More »

How Neuro Linguistic Programming Works

Filed in: NLP by mindprogram on 08-26-10

Though NLP is a wide body of knowledge, it is still possible to define the most essential components of this body of theory & practice. The following definitions can help you grasp what NLP is all about:

I. Neuro

NLP has an intense focus on the way people think and how people’s though fall into discernible and understandable patterns. Apart from addressing the way one thinks at the moment, NLP is also keen on finding out if a person or a group of people follow specific trends that have been identified throughout the years of existence of this discipline.

Once the patterns have been identified, the next phase is to find out how these patterns are affecting our personal and professional lives. Read More »

What is NLP?

Filed in: NLP by mindprogram on 08-26-10

 NLP how Does It Work?

NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is actually a whole body of knowledge or discipline that aims to discover, continuously, the how and why of human behavior patterns, social communication and thinking.

From one popular perspective, NLP is an effective way of encoding specific traits and characteristics in a person so that person would become more successful in what he does – whether it’s in his career, in his daily social interactions, etc.

The big question now would be:

Why Would Anyone Need to Learn NLP in the First Place?

The answer lies in the nature of human reality itself and the world that he treads. There is nothing static or fixed about human reality, or existence. Everything is always in a state of constant flux. Read More »

Why Does Visualisation Work?

Filed in: Law of Attraction, Subliminal Messaging, mind movies by mindprogram on 08-17-10

Be Your Own Mind Movie Director

OK, I know you’ve all heard this before, if you want your desires to manifest, you have to visualise blah, blah. But have you ever actually wondered how visualisation actually works, in other words, how does your mind actually deal with visual images and what does it do with them afterwards?
Basically, your sub-conscious mind does not know the difference between something that is real and something that is not so when  your mind’s eye percieves a very vivid mental picture your mind accepts it as reality. Therefore the more real you make the image, the more likely your sub-conscious mind will accept it and set about attracting those things that are consistant with this ‘reality’ you have created.

My Body Has It’s Own Intelligence – Yours Does Too.

Filed in: Subliminal Messaging, body healing by mindprogram on 08-16-10

subliminal messaging, Hi folks

I’m feeling a little poorly while I’m writing this post today.  You see, I have gone and    contracted a rather lovely bout of Bacterial Conjunctivitis, the eye infection formerly known  as ‘pink eye’, which had me in the eye hospital at 3am on Saturday night looking as though some one had punched me in both of my eyes.

Actually it’s not such a bad thing; I have been given 3 days off teaching due to my being so ‘contagious’ (as the doctor put it) and now have the chance to catch up on my meditation and blog posting.

To celebrate the upside of this unfortunate circumstance, I decided to dedicate my next blog to my eyes, or to be more precise, my eyes’ ability to heal themselves from this malady. Read More »

The Amazing Powers of Self Hypnosis

I want to share a success story about hypnosis for weight loss. There are so many, but this one stands out in my mind and touches my heart. I was working in the summer of 2004 with a young lady named Jen. She was 19 at the time and was scheduled to undergo gastric bypass surgery. This surgery is very drastic and involved stapling the stomach so that the person can no longer eat large meals. She also already had liposuction but regained all of her weight. Her father had died and all her mother wanted was for Jen to be happy. Read More »

Why Most People Don’t Succeed With The Law Of Attraction

Filed in: Law of Attraction, Subliminal Messaging by mindprogram on 07-31-10

Today we are going to look at the law of attraction and explain to you the no. 1 reason why many people don’t experience the success they are looking for. We will also look at ways in which subliminal audio can help improve your results substantially!

Law of Attraction Definition

The Law of Attraction grew to popularity a few years ago following on from the hit personal development movie “The Secret”. The Law of Attraction is simply the basic principle that whatever we think about and focus on in our minds we attract directly into our lives. This can be either beneficial or negative thoughts and things, but if we can take control of our minds and make effort to change our thought processes we can learn to attract positive things and experiences into our lives.

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to just tweak your thoughts, or to focus on one thing and attract this very thing into your life – whether it is success in a certain pursuit, manifesting money, or attracting your dream partner… the possibilities are endless. Read More »

What is Brain Wave Entrainment ?

Filed in: Brain Wave Entrainment by mindprogram on 07-27-10

Those of you who have been following some self-help programs lately and especially if you have been following subliminal messaging have probably come across something called ‘brain wave entainment’ (BWE for short). Now don’t get the two confused because they are quite different (for an explanation on the differences, see my article ‘Subliminal Messaging or BWE, Which One Does What?’)

 So How Does it Work?

In short brain wave entrainment is a new pratice that allows us to have control over which brain wave states we enter into so that we can use our minds more effectively. It works by using aural (or sometimes visual) stimulus to induce the mind into a desired state (for example, to sleep) by the use of specialised software. This practice usually works because the human brain has a tendency to change its frequency to follow an external stimulus. Read More »
