You probably know by now how important beliefs are to the manifestation process. Recently, I posted a piece about Alan Tutt’s Choose to Believe series and I gave a rundown of some of the methods that he teaches (which by the way are super effective).
I was listening to a great interview today in which Eric Johnson interviewed Jackie Laplin, the founder of United World Healing, a non-profit organisation which is uniting people and organisations for the purpose of healing the planet, and the director of ‘Manifest Books.com’ and I came across some other stuff which I found to be invaluable (not to mention fun) for banishing negative beliefs once and for all. So if you found Alan’s techniques a bit tricky, then some of these might work for you.
Firstly, make a list of your limiting beliefs, then think of each one with love and compassion but let them know that their job is now done. Imagine that you are actually talking to them and see if you can go back to the moment that the belief started, (the time somebody said that particular thing to you that caused the original problem) bring it to the foreground, examine it, re-experience it and surround that image with the emotion of love.
Create a ritual to release it. You can write your belief on paper and burn it or my personal favourite, rip up the paper into pieces and flush it down the toilet.
Ask a higher question. Does this belief really matter in my life? Is there a belief that supercedes this one? Some other questions you can ask are
1. Is this belief true?
2. How do I react when I think that thought?
3. Who would I be without that thought?
Or you can simply ask the universe to take the old belief from you.
The Sedona Method
One of the best ways to release anything negative is the Sedona Method, which taps into our natural ability to let go of negative emotions. The idea behind the Sedona Method is not to simply cover over the negative , but to actually get rid of it. You must deal effectively with the negative before you can accept the positive into your life. And you do this by asking yourself four simple questions
1 What is that feeling or belief?
2 Can I let this feeling go?
3 Am I willing to let it go?
4 When can I let it go?
If you repeat these questions as a process, you will feel lighter and you will know that the negatcive feeling or belief has been released. It’s actually crazily simple. Well that’s all from me today. Just thought I would share some of these things with you. Also check out my other stories on beliefs, ‘Can I Choose What I Believe In?’ and
