Some Fascinating Books on the Law of Attraction

Now that the weather has become colder, it’s a great time to curl up with an inspiring book. Now, for my money, books on the Law of Attraction are probably the most inspiring. The concepts embodied in the “Law of Attraction” and other self-help concepts may have been around for centuries but in the last decade or so there has been an explosion of authors exploring the subject and writing on it.

My personal favourites and the people I consider to be the authorities on the subject are Esther and Jerry Hicks, who are informed by a spiritual entity they call “Abraham.” They may seem a little kooky when you first see them on video but you only have to listen to Abraham speaking through Esther for a little while and you are immediately drawn in. Being the people on whose work the popular film ‘The Secret’ was based, I have mentioned a few of their books here. But theirs are by no means the only ones worth reading.

Esther and Jerry Hicks have written several books on the Law of Attraction. One book is simply titled ‘The Law of Attraction’. The book is based on the principles and the practicalities of the Law of Attraction. When you finish it, you should have an idea of how things come to be and you should also be able to understand your role in the making of the events around you.

Another is called ‘The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent’. This book is all about having balance in your life.  This book explains the concept of the Emotional Guidance System, which Esther talked about in the the film, ‘The Secret’ and explains how you can use it to keep your life on track using the Law of Attraction.

An earlier Hicks book is ‘Ask and It Is Given’. This book is a very practical exercise in the work of creating the life you want. It outlines twenty-two processes that can help you use the Law of Attraction in order to manifest change.

A fairly new book is Law of Attraction is ‘The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t Want’. Its author is Michael J Losier. The book talks a lot about vibration, both negative and positive. It is about using Deliberate Attraction to change that vibration to get what you want. It is done in a step-by-step format.

‘Secrets of Attraction: The Universal Laws of Love, Sex, and Romance’, by Sandra Anne Taylor discusses how the Law of Attraction can work for you in your love life. She begins by emphasizing that love is energy, not a feeling. This is a specific use of the Law of Attraction. She speaks of a “personal energy field” that affects the way people perceive you. She explains how this has an influence on the way the people around you react to you. The theory is that if you can change your energy, your love life will change as well. It’s fantastic advice and well worth the read for those of us who have been struggling with these issues for a while.

Of course, there are countless other books on the subject of the Law of Attraction, however, one book I am a big fan of is ‘The Self-Esteem Book’ by Dr. Joe Rubino. Although this is not strictly a book about the Law of Attraction as it focuses more on self esteem issues, I believe it is a crucial read for those who wish to manifest more positive things into their life. I think it could be said that nothing improves in a person’s life unless their self-esteem improves along with it. Lack of self-esteem, as Dr. Rubino points out is one of those classic vibrational ‘blockers’.

If you are interested in more, you can get online and do a bit more research. Bear in mind that there are many great books and writers on the subject; the free e-book attached to this blog is another example and a good starting point. The most important thing is to find a writer or book that you resonate with and read it at a time when you are feeling very receptive and relaxed. Don’t expect the book to change your life immediately. But follow the advice and, most importantly, TAKE ACTION where it tells you to.

Happy reading!
